MAYIMA

Mayima is a young brand that emerged in 2018 in Pamplona (Spain) from the union of two businesswomen with vast experience in the fashion industry. Virginia and Laura are the soul and brain of this project with strong Japanese inspirations (its name refers to a small town in Japan) that seeks to experiment with design without forgetting the comfort and sustainability of the garments.

“Mayima rain hoods propose a unique combination between exclusive design and urban functionality, avant-garde and timelessness, innovation and craft.”

The brand's first product is a series of exclusive waterproof rain hoods made from premium-quality materials, such as neoprene or wild silk. An original, versatile, functional and sophisticated product that can be worn with all kinds of garments creating different styles: from the classic trench coat to more formal coats or leather jackets. The combinations are endless.

FREEDOM OF MOVEMENT UNDER THE RAIN

Whether you ride a bike or push a stroller, Mayima hoods are the perfect ally for urban life. You do not need to carry an umbrella anymore so they give you freedom of movement while their premium quality fabrics guarantee total protection against the rain. All hoods are 100% waterproof, made of waxed or naturally waterproof fabrics.

Each hood comes with a case, also made of a waterproof fabric, where you can store it after use and take it everywhere.

ETHICALLY RESPONSIBLE COMPANY

Mayima advocates for slow fashion in the face of consumerism and mass production promoted by large retailers. They have a limited production, entirely manufactured in a non-profit cooperative of Madrid (Spain) that provides training and fair employment to underprivileged women.

In addition, Mayima creates premium quality, durable and versatile garments designed to be worn endlessly and not to go out of style next season.

Mayima is increasingly introducing sustainable materials into its collections, such as silicone leather, vegan suede and recycled polyester. Each garment has at least one of these fabrics in its composition and their goal is to become 100% sustainable in the near future.
